ICA Expo 2022 Held, Presenting Indonesian Celebrity Chefs

ICA (Indonesian Chef Association) Chef Expo will be held from 18-21 May 2022 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

This event was held again, after being on hiatus for the last two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"This year's event will be a momentum for the spirit of the Chef and Food industry to rise after being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic," .

Slamet added that Chef Expo 2022 was held in collaboration with Wakeni who held the Food & Beverage Indonesia Exhibition simultaneously. 

"We believe that cooperating with ICA will be able to increase the attractiveness and quality of the Indonesian Food & Beverage Exhibition," said Sofianto Widaja as General Manager of PT Wakeni.

At the Chef expo 2022, every day there will be cooking demonstrations performed by celebrity chefs from ICA such as Chef Juna, Chef Axhiang, Chef Yongki Gunawan, Sisca Soewitomo, Kung Fu Chef Mutho, and other skilled chefs.

" cooking demonstration is part of our efforts to continue to preserve Indonesian cuisine," said Chef Juna.

In line with Chef Juna, Chef Axhiang, an alumnus of the Cooking Contest on Private TV who is also an ICA administrator, hopes that the event will be successful and beneficial for the wider community.

In addition to cooking demonstrations, there is also a competition between professional and junior chefs every day. The competing classes are as follows:

• Live Cooking Main Course made from red meat for Junior and Professional Chef
• Seafood-based Live Cooking Main Course for Junior and Professional Chefs
• Indonesian Modern Plated Dessert
• Cake Decoration
• Special Black Box Indonesia Modern Cuisine which features specially invited reams with a very tight selection and comes from the best hotels and restaurants in Indonesia.

This year the organizers hope that 3,000 visitors will attend the event every day, while still adhering to strict health protocols.
