Basil Ribs Soup Recipe, A Special Dish When Family Gathering
Indonesian cuisine, especially soup, has many kinds, ranging from vegetable soup, chicken soup, fish soup, seafood , and meat soup.
This soupy food is suitable to be served while it is still hot with warm rice.
This soup will use beef ribs as the main ingredient combined with basil leaves, carrots, and potatoes.

Basil rib soup recipe
Ingredients:
- 500 grams of beef ribs
- 2 liters of clean water
- Frying oil to taste
- 100 grams of carrots, cut into rounds
- 6 stalks of basil
- 1 onion stalk
- 1 tomato
- 1 stalk of celery
- 1 potato, cut to taste
- Fried red onions
- 2 large red chilies
- 3 pieces of curly red chili
- 9 cloves of red onion
- 7 cloves of garlic
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 pecan
- 3 cm turmeric, roasted
- 3 cm ginger, crushed
- 2 bay leaves
- 4 lime leaves
- 3 tsp sugar
How to make basil rib soup
1. Clean the beef ribs with running water. Boil with clean water until the ribs are tender. Cut into small squares, put them back into the cooking water.
2. Puree the seasoning ingredients, then stir-fry in the heated oil until the smell is fragrant.
3. Enter the stir-fried spices into the boiling beef rib stew, then stir until evenly distributed. Add potatoes and carrots, cook until tender.
Add salt and seasoning to taste.
4. Add basil, scallions, and tomatoes, wait a while.
5. Prepare a bowl, pour the rib soup into it. Sprinkle with fried shallots and sliced celery leaves.
6. The basil rib soup is ready to be served.
