The people of Palangkaraya complained about the price of shallots , which went up to Rp. 70 thousand per kilogram at Pasar Besar . 

According to a trader named Rahma, this is the highest so far. After last night the price of shallots reached Rp. 73 thousand per kilogram. 

"Yes, this is the highest, last night was Rp. 73 thousand. Now it is Rp. 70 thousand per kilo," Rahma told The Newbie food news , Thursday (21/7/2022). 

The soaring price of shallots has resulted in a decrease in turnover. In a day he only sells an average of half a quintal or 50 kg. 

He hopes that the government can help overcome the increase in the price of shallots in the market.  To return to increase revenue turnover.

"Hopefully the price of shallots will go down as usual. If the price goes down, sales will increase," explained Rahma. 

Meanwhile, Aliamsyah, a trader of cayenne pepper and tomatoes, admitted that the price cayenne pepper is no longer spicy. 

The price of cayenne pepper dropped to Rp 90 thousand per kilogram.  The price of tomatoes also decreased to Rp 20 thousand per kilogram. 

"The price chili fell to Rp 90 thousand per kilogram. Yesterday it was Rp 110 thousand per kilogram. If the price goes down, sales will definitely increase," he said.
