Haagen-Dazs pulled its ice cream on a large scale from the market after the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency ( BPOM ) found that it contained excessive levels of Ethylene Oxide (EtO).

Haagen-Dazs Indonesia CEO Dita Soedarjo said he was saddened by the incident. However, he emphasized consumer safety as the company's top priority.

" Biggest recall (massive withdrawal) because we care (we care)," he told CNNIndonesia.com , Wednesday (20/7).

In her statement, Dita said that in order to maintain the safety, health and comfort of consumers, the ice cream products were withdrawn from the market, pending the results of further investigations.

"We really care. To the taste (variant) that we don't need, we just have a voluntary recall . In fact, the only problem is vanilla," he continued.

The following variants of Haagen-Dazs ice cream were pulled from the market:

1. Tiramisu (bulk can)

2. Belgian Chocolate (minicup, pint, bulk can)

3. Caramel Biscuit & Cream (minicup, pint, bulk can)

4. Dark Chocolate Ganache & Almond (minicup, pint, bulk can)

5. Cookies & Cream (minicup, pint, bulk can, stickbar)

6. Blueberry & Cream (minicup, pint)

7. Salted Caramel (pint, stickbar)

8. Chocolate Choc Almond (stickbar)

9. Vanilla Caramel Almond (stickbar)
