Sweet Spicy Wet Tempe Orek Recipe, Tender When Bitten

Material: 
  • 300 grams of tempeh, cut into 2 x 2 cm, fried half cooked 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cm galangal, bruised
  • 1 green chili, cut into 1 cm
  • 1 red chili, cut into 1 cm
  • 1/2 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 300 ml water
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil for frying
Ground spices:
  • 6 red onions
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 cm long
  • 3 pieces of red chili

How to make wet tempeh orek :

1. Saute ground spices, bay leaf, and galangal until fragrant.

2. Add green chilies and red chilies. Add tempeh. Mix everything well.

3. Pour in the sweet soy sauce, salt, pepper, sugar, and water. Cook until everything is absorbed.
