Balinese Sate Lilit Recipe, Using Mackerel and Shrimp Meat
Sate lilit is one of the popular Balinese satay dishes. This food is usually made from seafood , such as fish.
However, you can also mix fish meat with other ingredients, such as shrimp.
The mixture of fish and shrimp meat to make satay wrap will produce a delicious taste, a little sweet from seafood , and spicy savory from a mixture of fine spices.

Material:
- 300 grams of mackerel meat
- 300 gr fresh prawns (take the meat)
- 150 gr grated coconut
- 6 kaffir lime leaves, finely sliced
- Enough lemongrass for skewers, take the white part and a little green part
- 5 pieces of cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 3 red onions
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 3 lemongrass stalks, finely chopped
- 1 tsp pepper powder
- Salt to taste
1. Mix the mackerel and shrimp in a blender or food processor, blend until smooth.
2. Mix the fish and shrimp with the spices, mix well. Take a small amount of dough and make balls by hand in an oval shape.
3. Pierce one side with lemongrass and squeeze. Slightly flat shape. Bake over coals until both sides are browned.
