Dorayaki is well known by most people because it is identical to the favorite food of the Doraemon cartoon character.
The shape of dorayaki is similar to pancakes, but usually two dorayaki are sandwiched and the center is filled with various red bean paste.
The process of making dorayaki is quite easy and the materials needed are easy to find in Indonesia.

Red bean dorayaki recipe
Dorayaki Ingredients:
- 30 grams of sugar
- 1 teaspoon instant yeast
- 225 ml of clean water
- 1 tablespoon butter (melted)
- 20 grams coco crunch (mash)
- 20 grams of wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons powdered milk
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 100 grams of canned kidney beans (coarsely chopped)
- 200 ml coconut milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 pandan leaf (chopped)
- 100 grams of sugar
How to make red bean dorayaki:
1. Put all the sieve ingredients, sugar, and yeast into a medium-sized bowl, then stir until well blended.
2. Slowly pour in the water while stirring and the dough turns thick. Then add the melted butter and mix again until smooth.
3. Heat a non-stick Teflon over medium heat, then pour one tablespoon of the batter into a circle on the pan. Cook dorayaki until cooked and bubbly.
4. Sprinkle coco crunch on top of the dorayaki, then cook until the dorayaki is cooked. Spread the mixture of stuffing ingredients on the dorayaki. Dorayaki filled with red bean is ready to eat.
